Description

Large format paperback, staple bound in white pictorial covers. 40 pages plus covers. Illustrated with 90 rare archive black and white photographs; detailed 1:48 and 1:72 scale drawings by Ian R. Stair and three color profiles by Ray Rimell on rear cover. “Colours and Markings” essay by Ray Rimell and Appendices round out this issue. First edition. The Baby saw service with the Royal Naval Air Service primarily as a ship defense asset against aerial bombing. In addition to countering Zeppelins it also was used as an attack aircraft against submarines, when found on the surface. Bruce’s well written and concise text is supplemented by numerous photographs and scale drawings. An excellent resource for the scale-modeler and airplane enthusiast. No previous ownership marks. A clean, fresh, internally unmarked copy with slight bump to upper fore-edge corner and very small chip to fore-edge of rear cover. Near very good.
