Description

Large format quarto hardcover in quite worn publisher’s dust-jacket. 782 pages. Introduction by J.S. Hatcher. Illustrated with over 650 black and white photographs and drawings. Second edition, completely revised and greatly enlarged. Black and white pebbled cloth, lettered, and with crossed rifle motif, in silver. A comprehensive reference of every rifle commercially manufactured in America from the earliest down to 1947, “with dates, exact measurements, and all identification features.” Dust-jacket essentially reconstructed with clear tape and now protected and preserved in clear Brodart cover. Dust-jacket is lacking several chips and is worn through at flpa folds, but is mostly complete. Book is clean, square, and unmarked, with mild rubbing to spine ends and tips, but otherwise a tight, sound copy. Very good or better copy in a poor dust-jacket. A heavy book, Priority and International orders will require additional postage, calculated as close to actual cost as possible.
