Bound in original heavily blind-stamped black publishers cloth with spine lettering in gold. One of the only early biographies written from the distaff point of view. Moderate rubbing and shelf wear to binding, heavier at spine ends, but still an attractive copy. Private book plate affixed inside front cover. Portrait frontispiece. A very early printing of this particular title, in what is obviously a deluxe publisher’s binding. A near good copy. Podeschi H230.
