Description

Hardcover, red cloth with printed paper spine label. 245 pages. Illustrated. No date, appears to be late 19th century. The Heptaméron is a collection of 72 short stories written originally in French by Marguerite of Navarre (1492-1549) and published posthumously in 1558. The translation by Kelly was first published in three volumes in 1853. A sound, clean copy, with untrimmed text block and worn and faded spine label, which however, is still quite legible. Good.
