Hardcover, blue cloth ruled and lettered in gold, sans dust-jacket. Top edge gilt. Illustrated with photographs. Neat gift inscription on half-title, dated August 8th, 1903. The author’s husband served as Ambassador to Russia at the time of Alexander III’s coronation and latter a the Cout of St. James in Great Britain. Cloth soiled and spotted, with spine lightly sunned albeit gilt lettering still bright. A sound, internally very clean copy of a rare book. Good.
