Small hardcovers, brown cloth lettered on spine in gold. 320 and 324 pages. Early printing dated 1837 on title page, originally published five years prior. Published in the Harper Family Library series as nos. 45 & 46. Previous owner’s printed label inside front cover of each volume. Cloth covers show moderate rubbing and wear to tips and spine ends and some staining to rear board on volume II. Books are tight and internally clean, with only mild sporadic foxing, and most of that limited to margins. A well preserved set of this early history of native American’s. Thatcher was a prolific author who wrote about various subjects relevant to American colonial and early history, including a work on the Tea party. Not in Howes. Good.
