Bibliography. Foreword by Bishop John J. Dougherty. Introduction by Mrs. Edward Marshall Boehm. Essays in appreciation of Boehm’s art and ceramics by John E. Hartill and Judge J. Lindsay Almond, Jr. Large square post-card laid-in loose with gift inscription to a friend, signed simply Cosentino, most probably Mrs. Boehm, or possibly her secretary. Illustrated with black and white and color photographs. First trade edition, first printing with no other printings listed. A memorial volume of the artists work, published by his wife and printed at the Lakeside Press, Chicago. Contents include a lengthy biography of the artist and his art, a section devoted to Boehm’s gardens and aviaries, one highlighting the best of his 350 individual sculptures and a catalogue raisonnĂ© of Boehm’s limited edition ceramic sculptures. Previous owner’s name on front free end-paper. A clean, square, unmarked copy with but a touch of age darkening to spine. Linen covered slip-case strong and solid, with no splits, moderate shelf-wear and rubbing to panels. Very good+ in a very good slipcase.
