Description

Drab Boards with Cloth Spine. No Jacket. A very scarce piece of early Dickensiana, this account is a facsimile of the report of committee on the Boz Ball [with notes]. Dickens’ reaction to this newspaper account is most amusing and reflects his overall tone toward American journalism, given fuller expression the following year, in “American Notes.” Gray paper covered boards with cloth spine, limited to 206 copies on Normandy Vellum. Fine copy. Not in Gimbel collection.
